With headquarters in Saskatoon, Venmar CES Inc. is a leading manufacturer of energy recovery ventilation systems for schools, office buildings, hospitals and many other commercial buildings in North America.
The successful candidate will be responsible to the Engineering/R & D Manager for researching, designing and developing components related to the Enthalpy Pump System, including performance analysis.
Description of Duties:
- Conducts research into the feasibility, design, operation and performance of components and systems related to the Enthalpy Pump System.
- Provides support to the Design Technologists and Technicians.
- Assists with the design, construction and testing of a vapour permeable membrane based energy exchanger core.
- Researches new technologies and materials that could be incorporated into the Enthalpy Pump System.
- Attends and records proceedings of Project Team meetings and Design Team meetings, responds to action items as required.
Requirements:
Knowledge:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or in an appropriate related engineering discipline is required
Experience:
- Three or more year's of experience is required, preferably in research and design related to vapour permeable membrane based energy exchangers.
Special Skills and Abilities:
- Self-motivated, capable of working on multiple projects with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated organizational, problem-solving and time management skills
- Analytical reasoning and creative abilities
- Ability to use ASHRAE, AMCA, SMACNA reference materials and follow manufacturing methodologies such as Design for Assembly (DFA) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
- Ability to use CAD software and specialized engineering software including custom designed software and modeling software
- Must be eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.)
